The term 'Preeti' is generally used in context with lovers and not necessarily with love (element). The bond of love between two people of opposite sex develops out of mutual needs and common/vested interests. Insecurity too plays a critical role in this kind of relation.

The divinely love (prem) is a natural trait, which is the ultimate emotion (tatva) and therefore, where prem exits, nothing else (including fear) can be there.

'Asate' to me sounds like 'asatya' (lie / dishonesty) and not fear. So none of them seems to have got it right. Both Tulsi and Amte were fanatics in their own ways. To realize prem, you have to move beyond this trait.
