ICICI entered into a contract with you by saying Aug 31st 2013. So you too should honor it by not jumping ship.

Now suppose the ship never arrives, then you have to anyway look for a new job. August is not far away. In the meanwhile go for interviews to select few companies just to hone your interviewing skills.

By mid August you should look at serious offers you may have and be ready to jump ship. Since ICICI have promised a 15 day notice for you to join, you can renege if they dont inform you atleast 15 days before Aug end.

And you are a young man, not having entered the workforce after your latest qualifications and degree. So be ready to move to some other location if the job is really good and you will get to learn a lot.

So dont sweat it, just prepare for interviews, do research on what kind of jobs are available for freshers, what is it that you will still need to learn to fit those job profiles, etc.

Take it calmly. Stay focussed. All the best
