In this region, in a maths test, everyone got 23 x 19 = ? wrong. Rather than 437, they wrote 419 (many people). Upon this being brought to the notice of Shringarey, he decided to investigate. He found that the "tables book", containing the tables, supplied by govt was wrong.

Mr. Shringarey bitterly cribbed to a Mr Uptil, a field man. Mr. Uptil went to a a local school. He pointed the error to the headmistress. His tone was chiding.

The headmistress turned back to Mr Uptil and shouted "First you jokers decide - decide once and for all what 23 x 19 is - and then talk! You people are confusing the studends!!"
Cool! This one is a modern version of shiva dhanushya episode which Ram broke in Sita swayamvar. A school inspector visits the school:

Inspector: Who broke Shiva dhanushya?

Student: I didn't; I wasn't even here in the school until now.

Teacher: Yes, he did not; he sits on his dads bidi shop in the mornings and just came.

Principal: Well, whatever it is, the school will pay the damages and let's be done with it and head for chai pani.
