Basundi--Sweet Dish

Bhai log,

Basundi Puri aapne to khayi hogi.. nahi khayi ho to jaldi se bana ke khake dekho.. Ekdum mast lagega..

time bhi jyada nahi lagata..

here is reCP for Basundi.. (hope ki puri ki reCP tumko maloom hai..)


Basundi

Ingredients

Condensed milk 1 can
Evaporated milk 1 can
carrot(peeled and pressure cooled) - 1
Almonds - a handful
Roasted cashews - a handful
Cardamom - 6 to 8

Method



Mix together the condensed and evaporated milk in a bowl
Grind carrot, cashews, almonds and cardamom in a bl ender or small chopper(food processor)
Add the paste to condensed and evaporated milk
Baasundi is ready. Serve chilled.

vaise Basundi without Puri ke bhi acchi lagati hai..

Kasam se bolta hoon..... there is nothing sweeter (& fattener) than a nice bowl of basundi!!!

I dont have a sweet tooth ...but basundi is an exception.

If im not mistaken..... some milkmaid (daabe waale be ) is needed as well to make it .

.....Milkmaid is much thicker than gharwaala ubalubalkar banaya hua condesned milk ..& is cheaper as well..concidering amout of fuel ud burn.

Viru, tumhari aai ne banayee huee basundi ki recipe daal. Ekdum mast thi. I'm sure she didn't use milkmaid. Boiled down milk ka flavour hi kuchh alag hai.

And dont forget to send me the recipe of simla mirch bhaaji.

Viru, you recipe mentions carrot. I've never of carrot in basundi. I'm sure your mother didn't put carrot in the basundi she made.

tu dilelya link madhe 2 patele(eak pitalechi parat tyat ali) use karave lagtat.. i don't think it is necesary..

mere ghar par to eak hi main sab kuch banaya tha..

I know but they have given the traditional recipe, the way my gran used to make it.

God sheera (suji halwa), Shrikhand, sevi kheer, carrot halwa.
