Musings of a slacker

All these days, I was taunted by this corporate and cyber coolie world. Bosses who were born when joined college. Classmates who had become CEOs ages back. And better half who is bitter about all the other Gult ladies having a job thanks to their hubbies pushing but this no Good guy doing nothing.

But think in a positive manner. All those who became VPs and CEOs in 30s have nothing much to look forward to when they hit 40s. Whereas slackers still have hopes that one day they can catch up with the achiever classmates.

Re: Musings of a slacker

I denied somebody's spouse a job in my team and within a week they got it in another team that sits across the hall from me. So they say they worked in India but could not work in US because of visa issues, I'm like ANYBODY can say that, you got proof you worked in India? Show me Tax returns/payslips/experience letter. You guessed it by now, it was a gult.

A poet said something along the lines that.. You should have a desire that you are never able to fulfill.

To the point about being CEO.. Not everyone wants to be CEO.. You may have different priorities.

Re: Musings of a slacker

^^
I used CEO because every Tom Dick and Harry is a VP now. Couple of my classmates are CEOs but many are in the CXO or SVP range.

Now, I am OK with what I have. I also give philosophical answers when people ask me wtf i am an aam Aadmi when many in my range are way ahead (incidentally a couple of those big shots joined AAP.)

But better half is even more tormented about these.
