Thumbs up Editorial: The myth of geopolitical importance (Pukiland)

Came across this article through Twitter. I wouldn't be surprised if Taliban has already issued a fatwa on the author by now...

Quote:
The myth of geopolitical importance

It is a tragedy that students in Pakistan grow up reading blatant lies about history in their textbooks.

This misery is compounded by the assertion made by textbook writers, journalists, certain writers and politicians, that Pakistan is somehow a uniquely blessed country with more ‘potential’ than the rest of world combined.

This myth includes Pakistan’s ‘unique’ geopolitical important and how successive leaders (civilian politicians) have been unable to harness this incredible opportunity.

...
...
...

To clear up the confusion, there is nothing ‘special’ about Pakistan’s geographical location.
It was as true in 1947 as it is now (when USSR hadn’t split into multiple pieces and East Pakistan was in proximity with East Asia).

...
...

Pakistan doesn’t connect two continents like Turkey does with Europe on one side and Middle East on the other.

We are not located between two great powers like Mongolia, which is sandwiched between China and Russia.

We are not like Ukraine, which serves as a frontier for EU countries against Russia.

We have China, India, Afghanistan and Iran as neighbours and we don’t seem to get along with anyone of these with the exception of China.

It's their version of Arundhati Roy.
Many paks seem closer to reality than our own JNU gang.

The author still does not address the big elephant in the room, that is pak army which eats up most of the budget of porkistan.

All these stories of being in the location with geopolitical importance is to keep hinting to porkistan public that porki politicians are throwing the importance that allah has granted them and that they are the sole saviors of porkistan.

Reminds me of the saying in 80s. "3 A's are the foundation of Pakistan - "Army Allah and America" probably it is AAC now instead of AAA.

Army eating up the budget is balanced by all the 'Anti terror' aid they get from America. It doesnt need agriculture, industry, etc. the economy runs on drugs and remittances and of course all the aid. Only way out is to wait for them to bite China like once they bit US.

And even more surprising is that no Sickular politician or intellectual or Journo has said that India also has a similar problem with 'saffronization of education'.

Re: Editorial: The myth of geopolitical importance (Pukiland)

Pak could milk the west as long as USSR & China were forces to reckon with and India was ruled by sickular pinkos.
Today, the situation has changed dramatically---- even India is migrating towards the rightist 'western' block.
Now. even the Saudis, Kuwaitis etc.. are running short of Dollars etc......
Don't be surprised if Pak degenerates into being another Syria etc..
