Re: Tweet of the day

The above tweet about Rajiv Gandhi Stadium- Establishments are named after ex leaders all over the world. For example, J F Kennedy airport. That doesn't mean Kennedy had to be a pilot.

Good example, but Congressis always keep putting the family names to butter it. Arent there any other leaders from Uttarakhand or other parts of India like GB Pant or Bahuguna's father HN Bahuguna.

Some one could actually do a spoof and name something after Rehan Vadra and claim he is acting 100 years ahead of time.

The most named guys JFK and Reagan have a few things named after them, but they are hardly a patch on anyone from the family.

You cant have more than one airport named after the same leader. India has one Rajiv Gandhi airport (in Hyderabad), one Indira gandhi airport.

BTW, Rajiv Gandhi was planning to rename Sahar and Santacruz as Jawaharlal Nehru Airport, but there was an uproar. More because there was already JNPT and Calcutta airport was named Subhash Chandra bose airport and Madras airport was renamed Kamraj and Annadurai (domestic and international terminals). So, in a rare comedown, Rajiv Gandhi settled for Shivaji airport (again, there are other leaders from Maharashtra too).

Unlike UK or China, Umrika is more like India in naming airports after Netas. . You have JFK in NY, Ronald reagan Airport in Washignton and George Bush Airport in Houston. other airports like in Amthalal's gaon and Dirty Pai's gaon and Smelly pai's gaonare named after local leaders.

So, to rephrase your statement 'How many estabblishments are named after JFK?'

Agree with Congressis tendency.
My argument was about logic of that tweet - that's all.
