There are still far more Sardarjis with Hindus than Abdali's followers. The lack of justice for 84 riots is unfortunate but though.

Point is, Abdalis or Aurangzeb or Ranjit Singh were never secular, they didn't know understand the idea of separation of religion from governance. this separation is result of French revolution and American independence war. While atrocities of Abdali or Mughals were done in muslim India, 84 occured in secular india, though one cannot deny the role of Sikhs themselves during that decade which resulted in that riot.

Yes India is secular because majority is secular and basic hindu idea of tolerating differences with hatred.
