Re: Watch Yo Listening these days!

one of the greatest songs.... awesome percussions are used in this song....
I like the most about the song is those pauses when every instrument becomes silent for two seconds then Tabla plays..... Dhidhak tun tun
awesome song.

I'm listening to songs of Guru.
Music: A.R.Rehman
Director: Mani Ratnam
Lyrics: Gulzar

Like this one in particular, jiske bol hain:

Jaage hain der tak hame kuch der sone do
Thodi si raat aur hai, subah to hone do

Aadhe adhoore khwaab jo, poore na ho sake
Ek baar phir se neend mein woh khwaab bone do.

Re: Watch Yo Listening these days!

These days I've been hooked to this really groovy/haunting track by Greenday called "Time of your life".. The tune is awesome.. the lyrics are cool and theres no question about the voice of the lead vocalist of the band.

Also.. Tere Bin by Atif Aslam from the movie Bas Ek Pal. This is also a very meaningful song with lots of passion.. poignance and is very very haunting..

London Bridge by Fergie. The song is so peppy. Full timepass.. love it.. love her..!!

It's my favourite too ... but somebody need to explain the meaning of some urdu words here:

Saragoshi? what does it mean? I mean from the context it means that it is an opposite of "dastak" i.e. if dastak in this line refers to "light recollection", then probably "sargoshi" means something that is "continually reminiscent"

Calling urdu experts!!!

Re: Watch Yo Listening these days!

Yup the guitar strumming in the start of this "Greenday" song is just amazing.....
LBpai... "Dastak" means knock (on the door) or a tap... so a sound that could startle you.... while "sargoshi" refers to a sound that comes gently and envelopes you...
However, SSpai...Do you always refer to urban dictionary for word meaning

Re: Watch Yo Listening these days!

arre nahi... SS pai... I knew from your earlier signatures about your interest in urdu/couplets.... I was just trying to say that normally one doesnt get the right meaning through urban dictionary... though it's a really innovative site (wikis ka baap).
Coming back to the topic... just downloaded "Do naina aur ek kahani" from "Masoom"... great lyrics... amazing composition.
