Re: What book are you all reading?

I am planning to read The long tail this weekend. It is important book that covers something that is appeals to me

I recently enjoyed "MicroTrends" by the guy who was analytic and analysis head for Clinton during elections ( kind of Karl Rove for busy)

Re: What book are you all reading?

I am reading "Surendra Mohan Pathak" and "Ved Prakash Sharma's" pulp fiction in Hindi. I am reading all the crap Pulp Fiction be cause I have read
'The Insider" by PV NaraSimha Rao and "My Country My Life" by L.K Advani back to back.

My advise here is never read an AutoBiography written by a Political Leader himself,it hurts badly .

Surprisingly reading Business Leaders Autubiography makes you dislike them . I really disliked Jack Welch after Reading his Auto Biography, but was really knocked off after reading PVN.

I agree. A while ago I have read Hillary Rodham Clinton’s autobiography and wasn’t too impressed because she seems to be glorifying herself all/most of the time.
I rather enjoyed reading Tony Blaire and Cherrie; I think it’s because it was not an autobiography.

Have you read it. Just read "The Insider". Though it is quite sleazy and filled with Sex/Intrigue and sometimes with Dark Black Humour like Ram Gopal Verma but the message converyed is too hard to digest. it really hurts. He was never allowed to write version 2 of it by Sonia Madam, proves its effectiveness.. His skill in this book is as when he was Prime Minister that he never tries to preach anything but subtly teaches a lot.

One Wise crack of PVN i will quote " One CM of A.P never let his habit of Womanization affect his political life as he categorized his lust and desire for sex as some physical itch " .

Man he was something, although Advani's book make him appear as Honest, progressive but also shows him as an emotional fool..

You will find PVN as the real Hindutva guy and Advani as the most secular guy .

One smart observation by PVN . "In my village I have noticed that Hindus go out of their way to celebrate Muslim festivals like Eid and Muharamm, while Muslims use to give just formality or customary presence in hindu festivals like Holi/Diwali, But this makes Hindu too overtly proud of their secularism "

i never read it.i somehow fear to read autobiographies and fat books. large size of book itself is very scary for me to proceed. (since college days i was like that)

Having seen pvn in flesh and blood so many times here during kavita sammelans , i know very well about his witty remarks. Many of his colleagues are like that ..filled with humour, sex, lust, sensitive, intelligent ..what not. Hardly i see anyone like that these days.

womanizer CM of AP ...who it might be ?
ok...if the size of book does not frighten me i will give it a try.
