Re: Tougher Chess Puzzles (force several moves and win)

Puzzle 6: Black to play and win [Unsolved]

Code:
FEN: 8/8/4kpp1/5b2/p6P/2B5/6P1/6K1
You can load this FEN code in chessup.net and try variations visually (instead of mentally )

BTW this is INSANELY EASY ... that means SanelessBhau cant solve it

Re: Tougher Chess Puzzles (force several moves and win)

In puzzle 6,black's a pawn is unstoppable.Black's king can come and protect that pawn quicker than white's king can reach there.
So moves like

1..a3 2.Kf1 Kd5 3.Bxf6 a2 4.Ba1 Kc4 etc is winning for black.

Is there any catch in this puzzle?

Re: Tougher Chess Puzzles (force several moves and win)

Currently reading a very good book by IM Jeremy Silman -- The Amateur's Mind - Turning Chess Misconceptions into Chess Mastery ...

I am preparing for a tournament sometime this december ... so wanted to brush up ...

anyways, if anyone is interested, we can take up this reading in another thread and discuss it out ...

Re: Tougher Chess Puzzles (force several moves and win)

even better non violent mode r to d2 then white moves not much option except delay the inevitable by check qX pawn h7.. and move qxq white mvs anything.. q to a1 mate.. various combos there.. may be a step or two here or there white is screwed.

black ka queen mar raha hai rook se.

also, whites bishop is there to counter black's double rook.
