Stress-Busters

For me Chinese Foot reflexology and Deep tissue massage atleast twice a week has been beneficial. You have no clue how much stress you have developed until you get a massage and feel the tingly feeling in your brain(which is basically endorphines being released).

What is your way of coping with stress?

The best way to cope with stress is to get a massage with happy ending. Best.

Problems in General Physics - IE IRODOV

This book had only problems / numericals in Physics and was considered as the ultimate testing authority on IIT JEE preparation .Your answer reminded me of a fellow in tuition who use to say - Mujhe jub paRhtay parHtay jub raat ko 2 bajay neend aanae lagti hai toh mai Irodov khol leta hoon , saari neend urR jaati hai and mai paRhnay kay liye bilkul fresh ho jaata hoon

You know physics if and only if you can solve the problems in IRODOV even with all the text books on physics in the world , opened right in front of you , from KG to PG

Any one who knows whats Irodov is , even today , will understand what I mean .

Igor Yevgenyevich Irodov (Russian: Игорь Евгеньевич Иродов; 16 November 1923 in Murom - 22 October 2002)[1] was a Russian physicist known for his highly respected book Problems in General Physics. His books are the prescribed practice material for national and International Physics Olympiads in several countries. He also authored "Basic laws of electromagnetism" and "Fundamental laws of mechanics".

Re: Stress-Busters

I know Irodov - whoever has prepared for engg entrance exams would know that.Supposed to be the toughest physics problems.

Thing with chess is that it makes me forget everything around me for as long as I am playing.Has the impact of taking away all of my worries.
That does not mean that I am a very good player or even a good player.Just trying to learn as much as I can.

Re: Stress-Busters

YAar what was amazing me was that log stressed honay par IRODOV and CHESS jaisi stressful cheezon ko yaad kartay hai and in dono cheezo say unka stress bhaag jaata hai .

I mean I need a very cool and calm and composed and collected and fresh mind to focus on Irodov or Chess.

Solving Irodov is like challenging a Grand Master in Chess .

Since its in jobs section, I am guessing its work related stress. Usually coffee and a walk clears my stress.

I agree - that is a good one.
But I don't do it regularly - maybe 3-4 times a month.
