I have done that too... One time, there was this really cute girl, who was standing just beside me while I sat... Very chivalrously I offered her my seat... she took it - No acknowledgement! No thanks, no second glance even! Full KLPD...

That's when I decided, I will NEVER offer anyone my seat - As it is, there are many rows reserved for them. Let them fight for those...
What were you expecting ? That she will sleep with you ? Whatever happened to small talk ? Maybe you could have gotten a date .

If you want gender equality then i don't think we should offer them our seats. By doing this we are making them feel we are equal.
