Re: US Presidential Elections 2016

If world leaders start speaking the truth, the "brave warriors of ROP" across the world would start looking for covers and moderates would actually start doing something more than the verbal diaorreha of "that ain't Islam".

Re: US Presidential Elections 2016

Super Tuesday is here.. will the nomination be decided today? Who could drop out?

This mashup of The Big Lebowski’s Walter Sobchak silencing Donald Trump is everything

Re: US Presidential Elections 2016

Trump has almost secured the nomination now, Cruz may be in the game still. But Rubio is out. Hillary too getting there, Sanders is still winning but not the way he wanted to.

Question: if Rubio supports Cruz does he get his delegates and climb higher in the race?

Answer: Rubio's delegates go to the conference uncommitted. Then they can vote, I believe. In any case, it becomes a mess.

At this point, it looks like Trump is going to be the GOP nominee .. which sux!

I was also saying the same a few posts back. Black money is the legacy of 'Garibi hatao' scheme of Indira Gandhi (which involved 90% tax for those who were not here chamchas) and it is not too easy to remove it without significant side effects. Somewhat similar for Banlgadeshis too

The thing though is Modi also said a lot of sensible stuff too, which Drumpf is not saying even a little bit. I thought he will be qualifying his outrageous statements over time, but clearly it hasn't happened yet.

Thats the deal. Sensible stuff hardly sells. What happened to Mitt Romney? John Kasich is in the same boat.

More on Drumpf and others later.

Re: US Presidential Elections 2016

Contd--
Here i go -
On Trump - A couple of things which may not have pleased the mainstream America but made sense to me were-
His statement that it was a bad idea to invade Iraq for WMD. Not sure whether he actually meant it or whether it was just to snub Jeb Bush but true anyways though it is taboo in the republican world.
His willingness to work with Putin. I would have put more on this but found that apparently the bonhomie between these 2 is over. But the next POTUS has to decide whether to go it all alone against ISIS or loop in Putin.

On Sanders -
He sounds convincing but all Socialist schemes are doomed by nature. if he was a pro capitalist, i would have supported him.

Others - Except John Kasich, everyone seems to be taking out of hat.
