Re: Brexit

What are the implications of it?
Britain anyway is out of Shenghen and Euro (one good decision for them).
Would the Romanians not be able to freely enter UK after this?

Re: Brexit

To many beggar and parasite EU nations were sucking off of GB and Germany. So I guess, the Brits knew what they wanted.

I got this forward in the email about BREXIT. Sharing with you all

Quote:
I get philosophical when such events occur - what happens, happens for the best !

EU was an idea born of the past several wars europe had. Probably it's time is past.

Probably Germany tried to achieve what it could not with the war. Angela Merkel's now failed twice over - immigration and EU disintegration. Her political career is finished. Her East German heritage weighed down too heavily on her.

Probably the British populace is smarter than the politicians. They chose wisely. They chose what was right for UK - independence, which they had lost by being a part of the EU.

The world will move on. EU in all probability will disintegrate. It's an event in the past.

Look forward to what continues to work. The sun will be up again tomorrow. Birds will chirp. People around you will smile when you smile at them.

Re: Brexit

It seems with the exit of Great Britain, all EU seems to have lost is some space. 1 GB to be exact

Re: Brexit

Now that's what a referendum should be like ..

The British are frantically Googling what the E.U. is, hours after voting to leave it

That's what your BBC link also started with. I didn't read after that. With EU, all those holding EU passports could freely enter UK and vice Versa. This included many from east European countries. Probably Germans and Dutch would still be able to enter freely, but may not those from East European countries.

Now I don't understand why Stocks of cyber coolie cos are falling. Won't any such change mean systems also change and hence more revenue. Unless they hired a large number of east Europeans.

Re: Brexit

My take, a lot of people have voted swayed by litany of claims made by politicians without actually verifying the truth... It has been a typical populist campaign with many a claims by both sides trying to scare the public into voting their side.
Shouldn't have happened rather shouldn't have happened for reasons people made it happen.

Re: Brexit

It's just plain politics.. Referendum my foot.. oppose what the other is saying for no rhyme or reason.

If ruling party said .. God is great. The opposition will be forced to say these people are speaking only about their God, and that God was not great.. look at all the poverty, inequality, gruesome crimes and terrorism.

Asking general public for such an important decision is chewtiyapa.
How was this decision taken?

Re: Brexit

Napolean,

I am happy they let the people decide and not just politicians. Brexit is an important matter and glad that they let the entire voting populace decide.

Apart from that, I dont understand why others are discussing Brexit. Its a choice of the British people and that's that.

Even the vote for a separate Scotland was discussed more by outsiders than the Scottish and British!

Leave it, let them be. Their country, their politics, their choice.
