Thanks. But here is the tragedy. The F1 key was also broken a long back. i tried f8 and f12 but the dabba does not reach there.

Will keep trying something for a week before putting it in cold storage.

Now, in consistency with what i had posted on another thread, i am not saying *&it it broke, but "It was about to break anyway, lets see how long the new one lasts.

Dirty Pai, the only porn i saw using that was Bud pai's contributions. Else the closest i got waswatching pirelli calendar 1999 on youtube.

It is a wireless keyboard which connects via USB. I anyways tried f1 from it and it still did not work.

Re: Laptop not starting

Update is about a couple of years back, family took it to India and got the motherboard changed there. Works now with external keyboard and mouse and is connected to TV.

And it is on Windows 7

Re: Laptop not starting

Have not read all posts thoroughly here, but all I can see that,… all r talking about a Body, who has no hands, legs and neck is using of sm1 else, legs are plastic/Prosth. made and all such shitt,..................( Broken F1/F12 keys, broken monitor screen, broken key-board,... - Body mein bacha, kya? - Harboring this junk, what for ? )

Go to walmart.com ( below link )and ebay.com,.. in search box type,.. Dell computer’s... many, like da older models that you know and familiar with it,.. be it PC/laptop,… the prices are terribly down n’ not that much,.. Put yrs one on Ebay with pictures and as it is for sale, and fggt it,…..

For last so many couple years,.. I was proudly using my Dell dimension 8400 PC ( had bought originally at higher price at that time, (2008-9),. Was quite happy, proud and satisfied with it, later recently show on e-bay , the same shitt today was sold around 75-100 bucks,.. and knew my stupidity of still using that junk , no-value shitt,…

Go here, put in search box, you will be amazed, prices are not that much high,.. No need to do “ Haad-Vaidu “ with TV’s neck and 50 cents of value of a 3rd party keyboards using as legs for this dying shitt,.. ! Not worth,...

Just click here, to have know-how about outside market,..
https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_...hProductResult Also Chk,... Dell's own page for refurbished / obsolete models,..

LCD backlight might have gone bad.

Re: Laptop not starting

Remove power, and with the machine off, remove the battery and any attached USB things.
Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds, release and slip the battery in and attached the charger.

DO NOT PLUG IN ANYTHING ELSE! and do this 2 - 4 times,.. Repeatedly, one after the other attempt,....

Also bad memory does this,.. so open the RAM / memory cover,....... take it out clean with dry tooth brush the ( both - M and F ) contacts and reinsert,.. or try inserting memory in other side,..... replace if have spare ones,..

Also,...
When you turn the unit on , press the caps lock key and see if it illuminates the light . If it does then your problem is somewhere in your LCD . Connect an external monitor and see if you get video to it . If you do , most likely your issue is the inverter , lcd cable or lcd itself . Tilt the lcd back and shine a light on it , if you see faint video its most likely an inverter issue .

-----

have you tried hooking up an external monitor. If you can and it works you could possibly have an issue with your lcd panel.

Or it could possibly be that your outputting to the wrong screen - most laptops have a "Fn" button that can be pressed in conjunction with a little screen on the keyboard to switch to either internal display or external(say F1 or F2).

there are several problems which cause the screen to experience the blackout.......
JUST TRY THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO SEE IF IT GONNA HELP.

Electrical hitches. Like said earlier,…
Remove your laptop's battery, unplug the power, hold power the button for 1 to 2 minutes, turn on computer with power plug only, then shutdown, add battery and restart

Magnetic On/Off Switch to detect of Close/Open Lid
Your magnet switch is fubar some how. Open up the speaker cover and see if your lid actuator switch that come in contact with the magnet on your lid cover is stuck or not (find where the magnet is in the back of the front lid cover, trace where the magnet area actually touches the base of the computer and you will find the switch) Workaround, start windows with lid at 30 degree angle

Software
Try Fn + F5 or something like that

For the hardware's perils. I may not be able to truly execute it because i'm not competent in the computer hardware's issues.....

----

Follow these 3 steps procedure, nicely explained here,.....

If does not work, then it is either vdo card or mother board itself,...
