Re: What book are you all reading?

reading your list of books, I doubt you will like them.
they are mysteries, follow this detective John Rebus. veer on the darker side but more human than any other detectives I have read.

Recently read 'Harry's Trees'... a delightful book, very well written. The author has a knack of expressing emotions through words. Do read it if you get a chance.

Re: What book are you all reading?

I just finished " The Hound of Baskervilles" . My dad always wanted me to read that but could never go past 3 pages due to ancient style of writing. Finally got an audio book and loved listening to it.

BTW any suggestion for cheap audio book app ?

Nice .. i’ve read it many times having been a fan of Sherlock Homes series during teenage years. I wish I could forget all the stories, so I could enjoy it all over again.

Not sure if it would work for you, but try ‘overdrive’. It connects to your local library and you could borrow an audiobook.
I used it for ‘crucial conversations’ in Midwest.

you can get Audible - keeps coming up with 90 days free offers. In the free offer you get 1 credit per month that you can use to buy any book.

I got the complete works of Sherlock Holmes - narrated by Stephen Fry. over 28 hours of audio-book.

I also use overdrive to borrow books from my library - but more ebooks than audio books.

I agree with others on Library overdrive. It doenst cost anything.
Also, mine lets me borrow audio books for 2 weeks with a chance of renewal 3 times. So you will have plenty of time to listen to books if you want to just borrow an audio book.

Same hear. I loved all the stories. Recently on Netflix Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock was aird. Pretty impressive, especially the sound track. Though, nothing comes close to the books.

Also, with Overdrive if you turn the wifi off (download the audio books on old phone) then you can listen to the book even after the due date. Once you are done with the book, just turn the wifi back on and book will go away from you device.
