You mean,... they were from a high class, royal, hi-fi family - a model n' Miss world like ultra good-looking, full of glare, gaze, grace, glow and glitter,.. 2 beautiful, and well ettiquetted and mannered ?
- now a days they hire any ail-fail, worst looking vaaghrans !

what I meant was that due to air travel being costly and not anybody could afford, the pilots and air staff had great pay and looked like models, behaved like royalty. Now the situation is much different, air hostesses are seen as waitress in sky. 15 yrs ago women used to boast their son-in-law flies around the country 3/4 times a month. Now its no big deal.

if you go to dhaaba, you can't expect a waiter in bowtie to serve you a gourmet meal with red wine/champagne

previously airlines in India were affordable for privileged few, now it is almost as affordable as first class of an ordinary Indian Railway train....
