Re: Mathematical humor
Newton, Pascal, and Einstein are playing hideandgoseek in heaven.
Einstein closes his eyes and starts counting. Pascal goes and hides behind a cloud. Newton stays where he is, and draws a 1mx1m square on the floor around him. Einstein finishes counting and turns around. "Ah ha, Newton! I found you!" "No you haven't, you've found one Newton over 1m2 . . . You found Pascal."

Re: Mathematical humor
A real life joke. Happened when i was in college
In babylon, they found a tablet containing Pythogorean triples like 5, 12, 13 12, 35, 37 8, 15, 17, etc. There were a whole lot of these triplets. Each one was a Pythogorean triplet. However, some OBVIOUS ones were missing. 3, 4,5 > was missing. This was surprising. 7, 24, 25 was also missing. Some more too, I dont remember which. There was speculation that only triplets satisfying some particular property were there. But what was the property that was considered? No one knew. I struggled and struggled for a month to find out the "property" that excluded 3, 4, 5 and others. I was unsuccessful. I gave up frustrated. Later on the "solution" was found. The tablet was an ANSWER sheet given by the teacher to his students!!! They found the "question paper". Obviously 345 was not there probably bcos it was too easy. Kya saalaa hasss main khud ke Oopar!!!!
