To his credit half of what he's saying about Dhoni is true but that's not how you do it.. and this doesn't help Yuvi's cause at all, only makes matters worse.

What do you think is true about Dhoni out of what he has said?

Dhoni did make sure Yuvraj is not selected for ODIs ..

Dhoni did bat ahead of his regular position in 2011 world cup finals ..

His whole behind the covers 'scam' with Srinivasan & Meiyappan .. everybody conveniently forgot about the matches probably fixed in IPL. Who knows how dirty the waters are there. I'm surprised how IPL is continuing this year as if nothing happened.

Bhau - Yuvi's form was nothing to be proud of by the time selections were announced. ICC is very strict about world cup selection deadline date - once selections are announced , a player can only be interchanged due to injury.
In fact if you remember , we lost T20 world cup due to Yuvi - he wasn't even able to take single and give strike to Kohli.

About Yuvi kind of bowling , this world cup rules were unfavourable. Only 4 fielders outside circle , would have been difficult.

Dhoni batting ahead of 2011 finals - that worked for India, didn't it?Even though he batted ahead , it was not as if it took anything away from Yuvi. He was still man of tournament.

About IPL fixing , Dhoni's only fault is that he holds a position in India Cements. Meiyappan is already punished.

If Dhoni's role is proved in fixing ,then that will be abjectly shameful. I don't see any reason for him to be involved though - he has already earned enough money for his next 10 generations.

I think Yuvi's dad is idiot + drunkard. Someone who left his wife and 2 kinds to fend for themselves , cannot talk for others.

Yuvi is very right in distancing himself from his Dad's statements.

Re: For cricket fans

So, what is the scene now? Will there be cheerleaders? Last time round, they seemed to be quite modestly dressed, due to the matches being held in Dubai.

I don't see any tv channels broadcasting here in USA.

Talking Re: For cricket fans

"I have forgiven Dhoni. I pray to God to forgive him for his evil against my son Yuvi."

- Yograj Singh, the father of Yuvraj, is in a benevolent mood after his son and MS Dhoni added a match-winning 256 against England in the Cuttack ODI

He got brahmgyan because Yuvraj did not even invite him for his wedding (since Yograj has dumped Yuvraj's mother for other woman).

Re: For cricket fans

I am not sure why cricinfo thought it was appropriate to publish such a useless comment from such a useless person.

Maybe, cricinfo just wants to show Indians in bad light. cricinfo should limit itself to cricket news and commentary.
Many people call it cr@pinfo due to the kind of stupidity that it shows sometimes.

Re: For cricket fans

So another average spinner brings down Indian hi-flyers. Aussies were supposed to lose 4-0. Shows they prepared and put in the hard yards to improve their batting against spinners while our people were busy filming ads leaving all the preparation to the pitch curators. Glad to see them lose but sad to see that they collapsed 2 times in a row. Even the teams of 80s and 90s used to put up some fight in the 2nd innings against the WI also if they were bowled out cheaply in the 1st inns. And these guys couldn't bat against an inexperienced spinner. It was like living through the nightmare of 1st inns all over again.

I had heard yesterday one cricket expert predict that the match will be over today with Aussies lasting till lunch or so. Is it fixed? I thought to myself he must be joking.

Not in the 83 Kanpur test against WI. Batsmen were trying to run away to the non strikers end when Malcolm Marshall (RIP) was bowling.

In the series India lost one days 6-0 and tests 3-0 (out of 6). The carribeans were fully prepared and charged to avenge World cup defeat.

Gavaskar was out first ball in the Kanpur test and again in 3rd test at Ahmedabad. Kirmani brought some respectability to the score at Kanpur. In the 2nd test at Delhi India scored 299 for 3 on day 1 which was an amazing scoreing rate for a test day during those days. Gavaskar equalled Don in Delhi test. Remember that series very vividly - all the collapses and highlights ( Gavaskar 29th and his highest score 236 no in tests at chennai, Kapils test best of 9/83 at Ahmedabad in a losing cause). But none of those were as humiliating as what happened at Pune. There is no comparison between the WI bowlers and OKeefe. The only saving grace was that Aus did not bat 2nd else we would have had an innings loss facing a total of 260
