Dhulai toh hajam hota hai jab koi fast bowler uda de inki gilli. Like WI fast bowlers dho daalta tha, Paki Ws maarta tha, ya Aussies marta tha. But 2nd rate spinners and woh bhi ghar mein ghus ke? saala bardash nahin hota.

Main toh sapne dekh raha hoon ki 2 100 patnerships banenge ind 2nd inns mein aur apna superstar spinner unko 100 ke andar uda dega last inns mein

Re: For cricket fans

Chalo lead limited below 100. Now hope Tambi and Swamy 100 ka partnership karenge, toh baat banegi. But Swamy jhoojega law of aves se.

Re: For cricket fans

Need a lead of at least around 250 to win the match.. seems far but doable if Chooteshwar keeps batting well and others work hard too.

250 is a little too far. 200 should be a fighting total if tambi superstar shines and reproduces the form of Eng series.

Re: For cricket fans

Just when things looked up, they crumble again. Can't believe these mofos falling in a heap all the time like small time Zimbabwe or some other weak team. I am pretty sure even BD would put up a better fight. Wickets in quick succession has become the hall mark. Can't they just have small taprgets of 25 runs partnerships and take it from there. What a depressing performance!

Re: For cricket fans

That Kohli noticed at least twice Aussies looking at the pavilion for help in DRS referrals during his batting is telling. Kohli has lasted not more than 30 mins at crease in any of his inns this series.

Generally, cheaters are not tolerated in other settings. Firing or asking to step down for cheating is just not cricket! Smith would vouch for that

Re: For cricket fans

Something tells me this Dave Richardson isn't a fair minded guy. Worse, he might be racist. He has let go Smith even after he cheated. I am sure there would have been action if the erring party was Kohli.

Re: For cricket fans

If India losses any of the remaining 2tests, it will be due to such unethical, unprofessional and against the spirit of the game tactics.

I think such argument should be propagated on social media to mentally disintegrate Aussies by delegitimising their skill and hard work. They deserve it. I hope some fan starts that.

Re: For cricket fans

One good news for Indian team ..
Quote:
Injured Starc ruled out of Test series

Australia's hopes of retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy have been dealt a major blow, with fast bowler Mitchell Starc flying home due to a stress fracture in his right foot.

Starc suffered the problem during Australia's loss in the second Test in Bengaluru and after the pain failed to disappear in the days following the match, he was sent for scans on Friday, which revealed the fracture.

"Mitchell experienced some pain in his right foot during the second Test in Bangalore which unfortunately had not subsided a few days after the Test as we had hoped," team physiotherapist David Beakley said.

"We made the decision to scan his foot in Bangalore this morning and unfortunately it has revealed a stress fracture. Subsequently, this means Mitchell will be unavailable for the remainder of the tour of India and will return home to Australia to start his rehabilitation."

Australia's selectors are yet to name a replacement player for Starc, but as the backup fast bowler in the squad, Jackson Bird looms as the most likely inclusion for the third Test, which begins in Ranchi next Thursday.
and bad news .. BCCI again cowed down to pressure from Cricket Australia:

Quote:
BCCI withdraws complaint against Steve Smith and Peter Handscomb

The BCCI on Thursday decided to withdraw the complaint against Steve Smith and Peter Handscomb on the controversial Decision Review System (DRS) call issue that led to war of words between the rival teams.
The BCCI had lodged an official complaint trying to press Level 2 charge against Smith and Handscomb for violating spirit of the game.

However Cricket Australia (CA) chief executive James Sutherland on Thursday met his opposite number Rahul Johri at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai to resolve the issue. It was decided that the two captains would meet in Ranchi to solve the crisis.

"BCCI and CA have resolved to restore focus on the ongoing series amidst the increased attention towards issues which have emanated during the course of the 2nd Test match in Bangalore," a press release stated.
Johri and Sutherland discussed the matters at length, agreed the importance of bringing back the focus to the game and the much anticipated next Test match in Ranchi.

Sutherland said, "A series between India and Australia is bound to generate considerable excitement for fans in both the countries. On the field the two teams are fierce competitors who represent their countries with pride. As we have seen this week in Bangalore, with so much at stake, tensions can bubble over.

"We are half way through what has already been a riveting series - and there is still much to look forward to. In discussing the relevant issues in depth, we have agreed that it is in the best interests of the game to put these differences aside and clear the way for the focus to be on the cricket, and the remaining matches of the series."

Johri on his part said "India has always cherished a contest with Australia and over the years, the performances of both, the teams and the players, are testimony to the level of competitiveness that exists between these two teams.

"While having responded officially to one such incident which happened in the last Test, together, we believe that the focus of the teams and the joy they provide to the fans, should not be diluted and it is imperative to ensure that the rest of the series, which promises a great cricketing contest, not be compromised," he concluded.
