Question How much is Microsoft a part of your work life?

Lets try to get some idea about what products you use on your computer at work.

Maybe you use Windows PC's and use a Unix based email system at work.. Maybe not...

Lets have some facts...

Like
OS:
Email Client:
Browser:
Network Infrastructure:
Any other tool:
etc...

Dunno, but my perception towards microsoft changed dramatically with Win2K. Beautiful product in terms of reliabilty and still maintaining the ease/flexibility of MS.

PC - Win2k
Browser - IE5.5
mail : Outlook Express (not Outlook)

tried Netscape, mozzila, etc. problem in integrating them with MS products - so trashed them.

Microsoft rulez.

Microsoft Rulez.
Well Applications and OS differs upon use.My machine has multiple Bootloader.I use Linux RedHat 7.1(better pnp and pci support..since I've an internal modem)/Win2K/Win98(chinese enabled).Best OS in terms of fast boot-up,fast connections....win 98.Win2K--sucks slow boot-up depends on IIS setup and difficult to connect again..during unstable connection

E-mail:I prefer Hotmail and only hotmail---MSN rules...hate outlook Exp. Hotmail works anywhere, anytime,no security holes...speed its improving

Tools:You name it...MS rulez...

All MS products come with different plugins and skins and lotta support and third party developers.Over the period of time its gettin better and better..

Browser:Only IE 5.5 the besht...netscape sucks problem with encoding and fonts...doesn't support verdana..you need to add fonts Netscape 6 was better but lotta bugs
IE have lotta system hooks, but powerusers know to get rid of'em.

Its MS all the way like it or not.I've benchmarked various combinations results best combination.

Win98 ,internal modem,IE5.5,HotMail,firewall,antivirus(online)and a tracer.....connecting with a proxy is not a bad idea.
Result sleek,smooth,and speedy.
