Wink French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

Nadal is in superb form, n although he has got a tough draw, but he is still the favorite

But the Fed Express needs to settle scores

Would love to see Fedu beating Nadal in Finale , straight sets...

Looks difficult, but than we can expect anything from a champ of caliber of Federrer.

Roger !

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

I don't think Federer can do it, even though I too wish that he win the French Open just once at least. I have a feeling, he has reached his peak and slowly in a year or two he is going to start the down slope. Its just my feeling. But again, champs have proven before that they have it in them and they can peak to their form when needed and make the killer blow. It will be interesting to see.

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

I will go with Federer.
He has really stepped it up on clay this year and he will give his absolute best to win it and I believe that he can do it this year.

Go Fedu GO !!

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

Gustavo Kuerten lost 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 to Paul-Henri Mathieu, in a farewell match.

Watch out for this chap, he will be the dark horse, he gave nadal a run for his money last time he met him on clay.. watch out for him ....

.. along with The Fed Express , of course

Federer dominated with a score of 6-4 6-4 6-3 in his first round match against <I cant remember the name now>. Looks like he is in form, but can he do it !!! Who is your pick DB for this French Open? Apna to Federer hai boss.

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

Nadal's spin shots will again get to Fedu's shoulder level and he wont be able to make as many winning shots... thats whats been happening all the time on clay... I'm backing Nadal...

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

Sharapova had a narrow escape against Bondarenko. She ultimately won 6-2 5-7 6-4. Easy win for Federrer n Nadal too, both are looking in good form

I dont think Nadal will win this time .. some intuition.. it wont be Federrer either, though I would love to see him win. I think we will see a new champ this year..

One interesting thing about French open is that you will see at least 6-8 total strangers in those pre quarters... they come from and you wont see them in another other surface than clay

Earlier it used to be Spaniards... now Serbs are taking over from them

Talking Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

faltu sharapova has been booed out of the French Open..

public nay khoob seeti-veeti bajayi aur boo kiya aur laat maari

Sharapova upset by Safina in Paris

No, her departure from the French Open was filled with sound and fury: her stroke-accompanying shrieks, her self-loathing shouts between points and the spectators’ hearty boos and high-pitched whistles that ushered the No. 1-seeded woman to the exit.

One point from reaching the quarterfinals at the only Grand Slam tournament she’s never won, Sharapova allowed every bit of a significant lead slip away Monday and collapsed to a 6-7 (6), 7-6 (5), 6-2 defeat against No. 13 Dinara Safina.

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

yeah.. she’s lucky to get the no. 1 seed, had Henin not retired unexpectedly, I don’t think Sharapova could have ever managed to become numera uno.. n honestly, she doesn’t deserve to be there as well ... just plain lucky ...

Fedu n Rafa are into QF as well.....

Re: French Open 2008 - Can Fedu do it ?

Federer has made it to the semi finals; so have Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, but one of the latter has to exit going into finals.

If Federer does not make it this time, I doubt that he ever will again.
