That is the problem with BJP and even with late PVN Rao ,that they never tried to harm Institutions like Media,Judiciary,EC even if these institutions try to bite them.

NDTV if you recall grew majorly with kargil/coffin scam/Gujrath riots 2002 and all by cursing NDA Government itself.

Had it been Congress it would have fixed NDTV long back.but BJP can't do it.

Look what Sonia Gandhi did with Dr Abdul kalam. See how ruthlessly Sonia changed the institution of President to pre PVN days. She appointed her cook as President.

See how Congress changed Election Commission and now make it Amar-Akbar-Anthony kind of trio with a Hindu a Converted Christian(Chawla) and a Muslim CEC.

Thats why these Media Channels are Pro Congress as it can harm them and anti BJP.

Re: NDTV - Self-righteous, ill-advised or both?

There used to be a show called Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma I think. This show was on Zee or some channel long ago when I had not yet come to the USA. Iused to like it. Is it still on? That show was quite similar in concept to Meet The Press and Hardball with Chris Matthews.

Re: NDTV - Self-righteous, ill-advised or both?

I long stopped watching NDTV. I hate the brand of "journalism on pedestal" as followed by ndtv. I need simple reporting without blatant partisanship.

Rajat Shrama has his own News Channel now. His chanel INDIA TV is the one that did sting operation on Casting Couch and caught Aman Verma and Shakti KApoor etc.

aapki Adalat is still on air with a different name . It is now Janta ki adalat. Though not as good as it was earlier, it is still many times better and blunt then Prabhu Chawla's "Seedhi Baat"

Our strength lies in old Hindutva Tradition of Childhood or Brhmacharya Avastha till 25 years to be spent in education and developing good virtues and skills and not in going to Pubs and involving in Aiyashi and Bhog-Vilas.

So our Pitajis who use to give galis when we asked money for movie tickets were doing great job for the country
Randeer Pai, not sure if you would be reading the reply since your last post was in June and thats when you were last seen.

The Pubs have been in Bangalore since 80s, when there was hardly any IT arond. You also do not clarify if it is wrong to go to Pubs (or bars as they are called elsewhere in India) after 25.

And why do you think going to pubs, one cannot develop necessary skills.

Coming to movies, it is almost a tradition in Hyderabad to catch up on movies regularly (many times a family outing) and has been around for a long time (Hyderabad used to have 100 theatres thanks to this- same for Bangalore, where there were some 25 theatres around Majestic).

i hardly had to ask for any movie tickets, since i used to accompany family on most movies.

There were only 2 things i used to like in NDTV- Prannoy Roy anchored programs and bollywood roots

Now this shit mentioned in another thread is anchored by Prannoy Roy

And they have run out of old timers in Bollywood roots. Now they have moved to Javed Akhtar, AR Rahman, etc. making this one also as avoidable.

I got it on my Yupp's Hindi subscription. Good pure Hindi used by the anchors. The channel seems quite on the 'right' side. I recall it was Zee News back in the day during late nineties that introduced commonly used Hindi for reporting lots of Hindustani (Hindi + Urdu) and English words.

The air punching fat host forget his name .. he debated that PK anti-Hindu topic for many days. NDTV, IBN, Headlines News and all gave it half hour due to peer pressure.

This is a hot topic now a days on whatsapp.

Translating in Hindi for non-Hindi folks:

NDTV's Barkha Dutt has become the third wife of Chairman of "Jammu Kashmir Bank" Haseeb Darbu

NDTV's own Sonia Sharma Singh has become the second wife of Congress Leader and former minister R. P. N Singh

NDTV's former anchor Amrita Rai has trapped Digvijay Singh and is sitting ready to become his second wife

NDTV's Nidhi Razdan and Omar Abdullah are in relation and has resulted in divorce of Omar Abdullah.

Is this NDTV or Shabnam Bai's brothel?

LoL he is Suresh Chavanke. His stand was that his tirade against PK will continue until it goes off screens. It did go off screens after making its own 300 400 crores.

Re: NDTV - Self-righteous, ill-advised or both?

NDTV is clearly watted up. They won't take mic to Prashant Bhushan or Yogendra Yadav as to what they think of big corruption hug we have recently seen between Lalu and Khopdiwal, but they will readily take mic to Shatru,Shouri etc etc.

We have had a big screw up lately by Salman Khurshid and Moron Aiyar but they have no time to have 30 min dedicated discussion on this treason. Clearly a bias, this Govt and party is sleeping, can they not expose?

If mani shankar and Salman are one extreme then sadhavi and giriraj are another extreme, why they blow hot and cold when Giriraj says something. Either we hear all view points or hear none. That would be true secularism and tolerant society.

If NDTV is leftist then we need another english TV which will represent the right viewpoint and ask SRK why he is ungrateful, unappreciative?
