In haryana Hudda was expected to sweep election and opposition was no where near to his charisma....but in reality they are crawling to victory in haryana too...

But i guess its good that BJP has lost. I am very happy

Now Advani and Rajnath singh will have no other choice...Advani will retire and Rajnath will not get another term as president.

But how will it benefit Maharashtra , Either Maharashtrians were too much happy with Congress-NCP and in that case they should openly accept it and stop cribbing against Congress-NCP or they really screwed themselves .

Haryana people gave Congress some sleepless nights but what is funny is that Maharashtra gave more seats to Congress this time almost rewarding it for non performance.

The smart thing kangressis do is involve a lot of women from good backgrounds in their local party system... they start campaigning way ahead of elections by holding their organizations social service camps and what not.

Re: Who will win the maharashtra assembly elections

Now just watch out ,Congress will appoint a Bhaiya Leader Kripa Shankar Singh as Home Minister, who would act like he is going after Raj Thakrey.

So Congress will win in Uttar Pradesh by making a Bhaiya Home Minister act against Raj Thakrey here

Re: Who will win the maharashtra assembly elections

I am happy that Raj Thackrey was successful is gaining 13 seats! No small feat for a newly formed party just a couple of years ago! Great going Raj!!

As for Uddhav, he can learn a few things from Raj.

And congratulations to my dearest Sharad Pawar saheb. He has done it! Raj was brilliant display of 'Chanakya Niti'

Jai Ho!!

Can you throw some light on this - How did Sharad Pawar help in creating MNS?

Angry Re: Who will win the maharashtra assembly elections

I hate those people and their narrow mentality who voted for MNS ..They should be thrown into the Arabian sea ..I think these are the kind of hypocrite people who will gladly migrate to US or any other western country at the first opportunity and when a US -style MNS kind of party will talk of immigration , will cry about 'Racial discrimination ' and what not

I have explained this already in this thread or a similar topic, but here goes -

Sharad Pawar is very smart and far sighted. He knows how to ensure victory for himself and his party.

So long ago, he started by trying to split Shiv Sena top leaders. He was successful in getting Chaggan Bhujbal out of SS. However, Bhujbal quitting Sena did not make a huge impact on SS political capital. An oridinary leader would have stopped after the first failure. But Sharad Pawar saheb is a great politician.

He continued his efforts and got Narayan Rane out of Shiv Sena. Rane is from the Konkan belt where SS BJP has a strong hold. This defection too did not go over very well, but it did bring in modest benefits. Even in the currently held elections Rane did some small damage to Sena in Konkan area.

Pawar now had to do something really big to damage the SS BJP combine. So he started befriending Raj Thackrey. Everyone in Sena had assumed that Raj would be the successor because Raj was the real version 2 of Balasaheb. HOwever, Balasaheb fell prey to 'putra moha' and sidelined Raj in favour of his own son Uddhav.

Raj was unhappy, obviously, but was still with Sena. Now our dear Sharad Pawar played Narad Muni and ensured that Raj's frustration and anger were porperly channeled. Raj was out of Sena and formed a new party MNS. The issue was very old and not relevant but Pawar knew that it would split the Marathi vote in Mumbai and Thane. More importantly it would split the SS BJP votes in urban places like Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Nasik, etc.

So Raj was out and started his MNS party, all with blessings of Sharad Pawar. Today Sharad Pawar has ensured a third term victory for Congress NCP combine due to his long term planning and using such 'Chanakya Niti'

I salute the political acumen of Sharad Pawar. He truly is a master of politics and knows which strings to pull to get the proper puppets to dance.

Now Raj has won 13 seats. Soon he will gain some more popularity and a decent political 'weight'. Now wait and see that Pawar will ensure that Raj aligns with NCP. So now Pawar will have added weightage on his side when he has to deal with Congress. Congress knows it cannot do without NCP and so Pawar will ensure a win-win situation for years to come.

What Raj said and did was made to appear ugly by the 24/7 focus of Media. A grand strategy of Congress to give prominence to Raj and make Shivsena appear ugly.

The caste based parties like BSP ,AIDMK keep speaking up the same venom ,but since Media doesn't highlights them, they don't appear ugly.

Re: Who will win the maharashtra assembly elections

"The Maharashtra results are not a win for the Congress' strengths but represent the voters desire for stability. In Maharahstra, the Congress has won due to the minimalist nature of hope of its voters.
The BJP and Shiv Sena didn't give the confidence to voters that they are better than the boring 'status quo' offered by Sonia's Congress. The Congress-NCP won because Raj Thackeray played spoilsport by bringing a nuisance value that forced voters to seek protection of the national party. After all, voters do take sentiments of 'Marathi manoos' and politics played by Raj seriously."

Exclamation My Take : Why SS-BJP lost

Following are the reasons in my opinion why the SS-BJP lost

1> Uddhav's speeches were too decent and focused only on failures of the Kangress - NCP govt. His thoughts were too sophisticated for the semi- animal like people who populate rural Maharashtra.

2> The Kangress-NCP could screw SS-BJP in Mumbai as the bhaiyyas were driven into one corner.

3> The rural folks in Maharashtra especially have a very low IQ.

4> Sharad Pawar has spread the venom of casteism in Marathwada. The non-Brahmins (Marathas, Mali's Kunbi's etc) have now started believing that they are not Hindus. All their ills are because of Brahmins. Even the 26/11 attack was the conspiracy of Brahmins and Pakistanis. There is a new religion floated for the NCP purposes called Shiv Dharma.

5> Vidharba is a place infested with people with rats asses for brains. Caste and liquor is what matters. Nagpur for example is full of that sub human species called Dalit's who's anuses open up to empty huge loads of waste food matter on Dec 6 which is their icons birth anniversary or death anniversary on Mumbai chowpatty.

6> Uddhav Thackeraey looks very educated and cultured. Rural folks do not identify themselves with decent looking people. They love people who look like goons (Sharad Pawar for example). Uglier people are preferred look at Chaggan Bhujbal for example. Raj Thackeraey has the advantage of not looking very decent.

7> Shiv Sena and BJP should concentrate on people who look like goons, uglier they are the better it would be.

8> Shiv Sena should focus of opening up beer bars and brothels that will bring in electoral dividends. Price rise, corruption, terrorist attacks etc make no sense to genetically inferior humans.
