Rantings on non desis

We have discussed in Shakti Pai a lot about Lousy Desis.

It is now time to start with Non Desis. Let me start with Firangs.

In our lunch area, all the tables are busy or occupied. Many of these are blocked by firangs who are casually chatting or reading a book. This makes many desis have lunch on their desks and well, disburse the smell of spices to Non desis, like it or not.

Another irritant is on crowded lounges, every one other than desis is putting stuff on chairs next to them. People have to stand.

Tell them it's better for women's health and that there are much lesser broken families.

Whenever someone says Indian weddings are long, I say they last longer too.. mostly lifelong.

Re: Rantings on non desis

White people waste too much time talking football at work.. I was once forced to tell people to talk softly, was trying to post tweets on ec .. i mean I was working on a Prod issue.

Also, generally Americans talk too loudly for my liking.. some folks I can hear clearly from hundreds of yards away at the other end of the hall.

Re: Rantings on non desis

One thing commonly heard is 'I am a visual person'. This means anyone can show the stakeholder some picture and get an approval even if nothing is done for real. Probably, that is what some execs of AIG did in 2008. Saw some graphs and liked the idea of bonds for sub prime mortgages.
