I agree and attest to that. I would have been long dead had I not be sarcastic

Re: WISDOM OF THE DAY thread

The shape of Damaroo (Shiva's musical instrument) is symbolic representation of the relativistic spacetime light cone of past present and future (http://imgur.com/phgUBgS). This is consistently plausible with another belief that Shiva is called Mahakaal (Greater Time).

Sage Dhuracharya says...the wisdom is in knowing that one who has firm grasp on the present, can influence the past and present (rock both past and present).

Re: WISDOM OF THE DAY thread

Based on Ying-Yang principle, Ying in heart of Yang and vice versa....behind every successful achievement/monument/enterprise/civilization, lies an ugly tragedy/crime.

For example, at the foundation of USA as a nation (post independence thru civil war) comes from the tragedy of forced slave labor. Same can be said of Giza pyramids, Taj mahal, etc.

And the problem is that apna voters want Ying without Yang (or is it the other way round).
China had to displace a million people to build the 3 gorges dam. It will take a million years to do this exercise in Apna Desh.

Re: WISDOM OF THE DAY thread

The key to happiness (and possibly success) is to resolve to work towards a desired outcome, and then to lose one's self in working towards that goal while not worrying about the result/outcome.

Re: WISDOM OF THE DAY thread

From the happenings last week.

"Whether it is Corporate World or Politics, Visibility Helps"

Derek O Brien was making a lot of noise in Rajya Sabha and Tweeting a lot on Mother Teresa. Now, it turns out he becomes the Leader of TMC in Rajya Sabha replacing Mukul Roy, who is now out of favor with Didi.

The quizmaster should thank Mother Teresa, or should it be Mohan Bhagwat?

He is such a vitriolic person.. I mean I hate to think I watched and admired this mumbling bufoon on that quiz show in 90s. He has lost all decency and is red hot literally on TV debates.. to me he represents with his unpleasant personality the gunda raj of TMC in Bengal. Even Sanjay Jha and Sanjay Nirupam seem slightly sane compared to Derek.

Thats the wisdom or learning what Dhur ji is asking for. You need to be vitriolic if in TMC. He must be making sure Didi is watching all his shows. And he must have also worked on getting his tweets on to MSM front pages.

Else, I have not watched him much. In fact i have been avoiding these TV debates for last many years. But his tweet reported by Indian express caught my eye and found that he was tweeting from RS itself.
