Smile Namaste from forum newbie

I came across echarcha forum of thinking Indians, abroad and in India, few weeks ago and joined finding it very interesting. I liked especially the forums on Indian politics and found some very interesting posts there. Hope I will be contributing too! About myself, I am a lady from Bangalore interested in politics, born and brought up in Madhya Pradesh, been in cities like Mumbai, Delhi due to my husbands transfers. I gave up my job in Bangalore the last time my husband got transferred to Mumbai and back within 1 1/2 years, am at home, so lot of time for surfing activities!

Re: Namaste from forum newbie

Welcome to Echarcha, Parijakata.

Earlier we used to say "Log off your emotions when you log in here"... Sigh. those days are gone. Now we are more politically correct and considerate of the others' feelings. But still, I hope you have a thick skin

Politics... we recently had a discussion about karnataka politics here. Also, whether Karnataka is an important state in India or just a sidie state.

Of course, the way to an Echarchan's heart through his/her stomach, so all contributions to the Recipe Corner are very welcome

Welcome aboard, once again.

Welcome, Parikataja tai.

Prakishata tai, the meaning is simple,

Pari ~ angel... or fairy
Jataka ~ in a single shot/blow/swoop... like kill the chicken in a jataka... not choke the chicken slowly

Pari Jataka ~ kill the fairy in a single swoop... it could also mean blow the angel

Thanks guys for the warm welcome and kind words! Yes, `paarijaataka` refers to the white flower with orange stem, I love flowers, especially fragrant ones, hence my ID. Hope I will be able to contribute something to the forum!
