For folks who have not invested anything in Gold, this is probably one of the best entry points. It might head a bit lower (say low $1300s - high 1200s), but the overall bullish trend is still intact.

Just my $0.001 oz of gold.

Re: What is the future of Gold

Expect market to spiral downwards tomorrow due to Boston bombings. Oil prices will drop. Gold prices will go up again due to insecurity.

If the bombings are confirmed as terrorist attacks and Obama uses the word, the expect further crash in the market but this time with global implication. gold will soar due to worldwide financial insecurity.

Question Re: What is the future of Gold

Late last year or was it early 2014 ... Kalidasji was upbeat on gold. Doesn't seem to be in no hurry to go nowhere ... noh?

Circumstances could change in a jiffy.

What may appear to be a "sure trade" usually ends up in a disaster. Will gold rise? Will the stock market continue to rise? I don't know. But I feel it is safer to buy gold at these levels than the S&P index fund.

If you don't have any gold, I would recommend buying some. It is a good diversification asset.

What are the current gold rates.
Why not write the current gold price whenever we post in this thread

I recall an interesting discussion you had with Gpelbhau ... what is preferable, physical or investing in gold producing companies? I met a couple last night. Both had more gold ornaments on them than is left in the mines of India. I wondered ...

If gold prices rise, gold miners shoot up. I've traded NUGT several times. It is a volatile stock, and you can make a quick buck or two if you stay on top of it and not get too greedy.

My gut says Gold is basing right now. The odds of it going up are higher than dropping significantly. But then again, this market has been difficult to comprehend.

Currently, I'm investing in a startup, which is taking up most of my disposable income.

Is it a gold prospector ... aren't you being a bit too greedy and dangerously speculative?

What do you think about news articles and rumors ... some countries no longer have possession of reserves they claim?
