Good point. Actually, it is not all of RSS. It is guys like Murli Manohar Joshi, who first coined the term 'Mohamadi Hindu' and 'Christi Hindu' and of late, Yogi Adityanath.

The context here is the inhabitants of Ancient India were Hindus. Even now, despite all the secularism, the westerners use the term 'Hindus', like Hindi belt was called 'Hindu Belt' by TIme.

i do vaguely remember reading in ACK that the founder of RSS, Dr Hedgewar himself scoffed at the term 'Hindu'

THis 'Ghar wapasi' was actually done by one Dharm Jagaran Manch and not by RSS, at least directly.

There were many ghar wapsi events last year too .. Bigger ones in fact.. Nobody thought of it as a way to block parliament and media sat on it. Now opposition is getting its panties in a bunch ..

I guess last year the opposition was too compliant about it, seeing as they were busy obstructing the GST bill, Insurance Bill, FDI etc, thus helping the country's growth rate The 15th Lok Sabha has the distinction of being the most obstructed Lok Sabha in history.

Re: Ghar Wapasi

re-conversion (ghar wapasi) is an issue.. conversion itself is ordinary going on for ages, worth ignoring.

Re: Ghar Wapasi

Whenever there was discussion on Conversion by Christians, i would say, let them do it. One example being that a Kaamwali bai in the neighbourhood got converted, trained and became a data entry operator. My reaction was, "Good for her, Hindu organizations should do the same". Now, when they are doing the same, it is a fair game. If there is coercion, prove it.

Re: Ghar Wapasi

My only argument or complain is that the debate is heavily or say entirely being presented as one-sided. As if Muslims or Christians have not converted by force, allurement, or fooling people.

Krist-puraan.. :OMG:

There is conversion and then there is faith. Does conversion restore faith? I hardly think so.

Ha!
Exactly how does this happen? Like overnight they decide. Christ is not God and then start praying to Hindu Gods? What am I missing? Or who cares if they have faith?

Re: Ghar Wapasi

This whole thing looks like MNP to me
MNP is "Mobile Number Portability" where you change your mobile operator while retaining your mobile number, this is new for India because it just started few years ago. There are offers from operators like you switch to our network and we will give you 1GB 3g internet free for first month and local calls at 30 paise per minute for 3 months,on-net calls at 10 paise, full talktime on recharges etc.once you switch you cant switch to any other operator for the next 3 months.
So there are people who switch operators take the benefits and then after 3months switch to another operator, while retaining their number.

Not surprising.

1. Pro Congress
2. Owned By
3. Congress Channel
4. Anti BJP

These keep changing, so you may get a slightly different result

So, do not complain only when one operator starts the scheme already done by others. BTW, 'name portability' is only if you become a Christian. I did not know YSR was a christian for a long time.
