HAL blamed for MIG-21 crashes

MiG experts blame HAL for crashes: Izvestia

The public-sector Hindustan Aeronautics Limited supplied "substandard and uncertified" spares to the Indian Air Force, resulting in a spate of MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashes, a leading Russian daily reported on Sunday quoting unnamed military experts.

IAF TO RESUME MIG-21 FLIGHTS

NEW DELHI: After undertaking intensive checks, the Indian Air force is poised to give a go ahead to resumption of flights of upgraded versions of MiG-21 jet fighters.

The fighter jets were grounded after recent crashes of two of the older type 75 variants in quick sucessions.
