Garba vs Bhangra: Which one do you prefer?

Nowadays both these dances are getting popular all over India. Every major city has a Garba / Dandiya function during Navratris and even marriages. Bhangras are also becoming very popular.

Which one do you prefer?

Personally, I like Raas Garba (not dandiya)...but Bhangra is very catchy!!

I like Koli Dance!!! They show this as a traditional dance from Maharashtra every year in the Republic Day parade.

I also like Lavni, which is really ... aah

I also like Lezhim!! Super dance!!

Also in some parts of Maharashtra we have the Balya Dance and the popular song is 'Gana Dhaav re.. Mala Paav re!'

Bhangra all the way...

Garba is way too repetitive hence boring...

For me...I understand Punjabi but not Gujrati. Also, Garba seems very mechanical to me and if you mess up, you mess up the circle. In bhangra, you dance and even if you look ridiculous and have no rhythm...you have a good time and its fun!

Ha ha ha ha Bhangra is also reptititve!!

One Sardar or Jat with a huge dhol around his neck will beat it in a rhythm which will accelarate and then shout something like - "Tinga tinga tinga.. Paaji rakhle.. Minnu... Tussi... Tinga tinga Dhinga dhinga dhinga...Ishq meetha.. guda naal Ishq mithaa.. aaja nachle.. tinga tinga tinga..." and then again this repeats!!

I have actually seen this... the sardar with the big dol... he also had some compatriots with him... but only one sings... the others join in the tempo
