WARNING TO MEMBERS: Never open suspicious attachments!

A few people have had this same issue. You open your mailbox (mostly yahoo! or hotmail) and there is some mail by strange people like 'Lancestor O Lazarus' or 'Mr Ben Howell'

So you think it is a benign email and you open it. Then, there is no text. There is just gobbledygook typed like:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1; format=flowedContent-Transfer-Encoding: 7bitContent-Type: application/pdf; name="post-PRCAEAQVCPHN.pdf"Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64Content-Disposition: inline; filename="post-PRCAEAQVCPHN.pdf"

At the bottom of the email, there is an attachment called post-PRCAEAQVCPHN.pdf. You think to yourself - "I wonder what this attachment is? hmm...let me open it and find out!"

FUCK!! DON'T!!

You will regret it! My duty is to warn you...rest is up to you.

Looks like you learnt this the hard way! What exactly happened after you opened it?

No way! I will never open such an attachment. What makes you think that I could open something like that? This is ridiculous.

Oh well! You can admit it and get some help from eCharchans in restaging your machine.. or you can deny it and get a new computer.

I would never open such an attachment...but hypothetically speaking, if someone were to open such an attachment, then what needs to be done to restage the machine? Not that I am personally affected by such an issue...

Restart the machine and login in safe mode. Burn all your data into CD(s). Then restart again with your operating system CD and follow the prompts to re-install the operating system. If you had any customizations, you will have to do them all over again.

Oops.. these damn popups just dont stop .. and I keep getting redirected to some porn sites..
