India asks Al-Jazeera reporter to leave

What do you think about this decision? An attack on freedom of press or a correct decision to ask a foreign reporter of a foreign terrorist media organization to leave our country?

Here's the story and the URL:
Quote:

NEW DELHI: India has asked a reporter working for the Qatar-based Al Jazeera news channel to leave the country following his reports on the recent sectarian riots in Gujarat, a report said on Sunday.

The Asian Age newspaper said that the government was uncomfortable with television journalist Nasir M Shadid's reporting on insurgency in Kashmir and the violence in Gujarat earlier this year in which nearly 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, died.

The newspaper report said that a few days ago the foreign ministry had told Shadid that he was not welcome in India any more.

However, a colleague of Shadid's said that the Al-Jazeera reporter had not been formally asked to leave athough his request for government accreditation had been refused.

"When your visa expires and you do not get it renewed and the government does not give you an accreditation, it means that you are not welcome any more," the colleague said.

When contacted by AFP on Sunday, Shadid declined to comment on the report.

The Al-Jazeera channel has at least 35 million viewers in the Arab world and elsewhere.

It captured world attention for its exclusive reports during the US-led strikes on Afghanistan and for showing taped statements by presumed al-Qaeda mastermind Osama Bin Laden.

yaar visa expire hone ka intezaar shayad isiliye karna pada kyunki warna freedom of press pei yeh attack maana jata, even if Al-Jazeera is an open terrorist media organization
