How to use the imgur image service

Here is a simple tutorial for folks who want to learn how to use IMGUR (www.imgur.com)

1) Go to www.imgur.com



2) Upload your file


3) Copy paste the link and use it in your posts

Do we have to register before we can upload photos? If not then how do we keep track of what we uploaded?

Look at the last image... focus on the bottom left.

It shows you a URL for deletion.

YOu have an option to register for free and then you can create your own album. Or you can simply upload the image and note down the url for future reference.

if we register and create our own album ...will it be all available for anybody to see in the bottom of the screen ...

I have some lalmirchi pictures to upload but dont want to spread porn on this website cos I dont know they allow naked boobs or not.

Abey.. you are now asking me as if I created imgur. Register there, read their FAQs and try it out. Abey tereko main poocchna (wipe) bhi sikhau kya??

OK, I did search FAQ's for this but I am still unable to figure this out. How do I post the youtube links within the reply? I mean, where you guys usually make a small box appear without me having to open another tab to view the video?

I tried to go to the attachments and post an URL but it says, invalid URL (its valid though). Can someone please help me with this?

suppose the whole youtube url is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abcd123efgh

then in your post, include the below text sans spaces:
[ youtube ]abcd123efgh[ /youtube ]

You have to use [youtube] tags.

like, if you want to post the video "xlN2KVt6W4I", then you write :

<youtube>then the name of the video ("xlN2KVt6W4I" in this case) and then end with </youtube>

(Note: Replace <> with [] )
you will get the "xlN2KVt6W4I" code from the youtube (see the red circle):
