excel chart help

I have a one row percentage table.
How can I create a chart that looks like a speedometer? The needle of speedometer will be pointing to the percentage on the dial...

thanks dude, will try, though, it says that labelling needs additional tool to download. I am not sure that will work in the type of environment I am trying to put it in...

Re: excel chart help

Hey dude, thanks a lot for taking the effort for me. I really appreciate it.

The one in the download uses the same technique as the earlier one and its pointer is a bit screwed. It doesnt touch the baseline at 100 or 0... but I will figure it out.

arre yaar.. problem is most of these things are easily achieved by tools you have to pay for.. we dont use this stuff daily so no point buying for using once/twice..

Re: excel chart help

i made this few days ago. This can be made by superimposing a pie chart over a donut chart. The pie chart will need to be rotated correctly and the color scheme should be such that only one side of pie chart shows which acts as needle of the dial.

Re: excel chart help

Are any of you guys online? I am working on an excel in excel 2007 and I have run out of columns with 254 columns. I thought excel (if atleast excel 2007) support many more than them... does something need to be done to unlock them?

Re: excel chart help

K4, though you are working in office 2007, but is your file .xls or .xlsx ?? If you have opened a .xls file in 2007 in compatibility mode, you won't get more than 254 columns.
