Indian pickles have a wide range of flavours and textures and are generally pickled with edible oil, vinegar, lemon juice or water.
My favourite is Gooseberries (amla) and Tomato pickle by Nilon’s. In my grocery store I just picked it up (Tomato Pickle) with curiosity as I never had Tomato pickle before and not even imagined it as a Pickle Some of the regional pickles also taste good - Gongura Pickle, Choondo Pickle, Avakaya Pickle, Sweet Mango Pickle (Gorkeri) etc. |
