Snowing in the Midwest.

We are going to get 9" of snow by Saturday. It's been snowing for the past 4 hours and already dumped 2-3".

In for another 'polar vortex'. This time closer to the epicenter. After a night and day of snowfall it is 10 and sunny now. But over the next 2 days temps will go down to -23 without windchill. There is probably going to be a new record for windchill temps.

btw, dont want to start posting something else here, but now that I am posting... how's the polar vortex? Saw a vid today (not on netflix) explaining that polar vortex is in reality about 50km above earth's surface, but its impacts are on the surface. lagta hai 2-4 peg mar ke aaya tha jo bhi bakwas kar raha tha...
I was listening to a talk radio show during my commute yesterday where the host was describing how horrible it is in the midwest. Then he referenced the movie The Day After Tomorrow with some interesting/scary situations that were portrayed in the movie where buildings/walls would make crackling sounds due to extremely cold temperatures. It instantly reminded me of this post, wondering if sagar pai's walls are talking too

I used to live in Phoenix between 98-00. Lived on West Lone Cactus and 63rd ... Going from memory. Technically, it was Glendale.

@Kalidas , Glendale is pretty near to my hotel in Scottsdale ..BTW , I am here for only couple of weeks before going back to my base in India
