Paris Climate Accord

If we look at the emissions on a per capita basis over a century or so, who do you think has polluted the world more? In 2016 alone the per capita emissions were lower than the world average for India while China was slighter higher than average. That should lay to rest the debate of who should gain from the accord.

I feel Trump has done us a favor by withdrawing. We should not back out from developing by using whatever resources of energy we have.

Re: Paris Climate Accord

wasnt the accord supposed to give some concessions to developing counties while being stricter on developed countries? Thats probably why Trump thinks of it as a 'bad deal' for US.

That choot is blabbing full BS.. It's not a mandatory accord.. only like I commit to doing this.. if you don't do what you say they will shame you. John Oliver said and I agree .. nobody can shame Trump.

Re: Paris Climate Accord

I dont know about it being legally mandatory or not - signing up to the accord does make a lot of difference to the coal industry. That is why when Trump promised to withdraw from the accord as a part of his election campaign and now that he has withdrawn, the coal industry and those impacted by US being a part of the accord have cheered.

Trump might be blabbing BS, what he is doing is impacting real people and real things.

Re: Paris Climate Accord

Bigger point is that US has abrogated their leadership of the free world.. It's up to China to pick it up now and present cooked up numbers. This is obviously impacting people, but private industry has committed to doing their bit .. already the increase in solar jobs in US outnumber gas jobs.. and that's not including wind, etc (other renewable energy jobs).
