Re: Mantra for removing obstacles from your path...
did you know sometimes obstacles are there for a reason. And it is your arrogance that makes you adamant to conquer over all that blocks and feel victorious.... Sometimes it is wise to not attempt the get on the eluding bus. JMHO

------------ This is a real story: There was this school picnic.... the little boy was getting late and they tried hurrying up... both the parents were as quick as they could be. One polishing his shoes, other preparing his breakfast; one feeding him while the other combing his hair; one ironing his clothes and the other preparing his picnic bag. The school had arranged the bus and had told them to be 7:15 am available sharp as the bus was supposed to leave at 7:30 am, and they were going pretty far (by the kids standards), they were hoping to reach there by 9:30 am. The little boy was so keen to go to the picnic. Its 7:25 am the boy is still at home and just about ready to go. The dad started his scooter and the boy held on to dads belly. They raced. Reached the school to find out that the bus already left about 10 mins ago. Dad was a winner... like you guys put it. He raced to the direction of the bus intending to catch it at the next school where there was a second bus that was going to join the first one. They were late again.... Then again, how could this dad lose. Little boy was so proud his daddy was a winner... as they raced yet again.... and Bingo.... they caught up with the first bus and signaled the driver to stop. Dad felt proud when his son boarded the picnic bus and bid him tata. He would have boasted his achievement to his colleagues at work next day. They waited for the bus to return... they were supposed to be back by 4 pm. Its late. 4:30.. .bus is still not there. Ah! there were no mobile phones then. So they waited .. .and waited... 6:0 pm... no sign of bus.. All parents are a bit concerned. School principal getting calls at his home from worried parents. Still no sign... they couldn't do anything but wait and hope all's well. 8:35 pm.... they see the headlights of a bus... Anxious parents get alert. They mob the bus as the bus arrives. The bus door opens, kids alight many of them weeping, word spreads some kid died. Yes you guessed it right, the kid who the bus eluded was now no more there to hug his dad. He drowned in the lake at the picnic. The dad wailed and wept holding the body of the little boy. Alas his winner attitude cost him the life of his only child. There were other two boys who were the survivors. Both were pulled out by a brave boy. That brave boy is my brother. Yes, he could've got Presidents award... but nobody pursued and things were kept low profile, lest the school's image got tarnished. ------------- One more real story... This man really wanted to come to the US... He fought with his managers and somehow got the visa and placement at the US location. He was supposed to come to USA two times earlier and those got cancelled for various reasons. He came over alone and wanted to bring his family next. Got their visa stamped. They couldn't come on the day of flight due to cancellations as the weather was bad. He had two little girls and a wife. They were scheduled to fly on some other day. A day before the flight his elder daughter fell adn got a big cut on the back of her head. There were many stitches. They still traveled (I thought they were crazy). On the day the flight landed, this man's project got cancelled. He struggled and got another project, the new one got cancelled in 2 weeks time. The company asked all to go back to India. He lost a lot of money.. let alone make any. Then 4 months after going back, he came back to USA again... a different location this time... and had to go back again in 1 months time. His wife now refuses to come with him to US even if he insists. ------------- Looking back ... I see there are so many incidents where I put my ego ahead of everything else and ended up losing after winning.... MANY times. I definitely do not want to end up as in the case of the dancing elephant. But I now have a different outlook when things don't happen the way I expect them to happen. Why go too far... Rakhi ji... 1 question. How many times did the bike elude your hubby before coming into his hands ? Anybody else with your stories ? I refuse to think of these incidents of one off as I have seen them much too often... I do not expect you to have the same outlook though. We all are different. . ![]() Rakhiji ... very difficult to explain to a religious person that one can be spiritual and yet not have a shred of belief in existence of God. I have never had one good reason ... but I do have many a good reasons/proofs to believe in efficacy of powers of words associated with these the same non-existing Gods. And this is where spirituality merges into metaphysics of it all. Science could be and should become a part ... not yet ... unfortunately ... it is just a matter of time. No change in my belief system ... not that I have noticed any.
Mantras and prayers I espouse have absolutely nothing to do with Gods or goddesses ... but ... all to do with power of spoken words and belief which is bound to tag along ... which is just fine ... two have to be work together ... in tandem. Medical science has something similar called placebo effect ... they still cannot figure it out. The day science mingles with metaphysics is the day placebo effect will be a mystery no more. ![]() It will take a book.
