Tamizh, a part of India?
Had a fierce discussion with a Tamizh colleague today.. he says India is not a country, forced to be country 70 years back in 1947. Culture, language, clothing, etc everything is different. We Tamizh are not getting our due, all our money being passed on by national parties to waste states like UP, Bihar, etc.
I told him anti-Hindi and all is a propaganda .. to which he got aggressive, that I'm an educated guy with masters from USA, don't think that I have been brainwashed. Quote:

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
He also stated example of Shiv Sena not accepting outsiders in their state, hitting and chasing people from their own country. He's like India is not a country, just a group of unrelated states, like a mini-Europe. Why is Hindi and north India culture being thrust upon us?

![]() Mystery solved. ISI is beating our RAW. ISI is infiltrating India and brainwashing our people and we or our intelligence agencies are unable to do anything about it.

BTW, one of my Kannada beer friends used to suggest that whole of SOuth India should split and arrive at some deal with North to protect it against Pakistan.

Can that TT debate with an Arab or a Chinese the way he did with you? That is the common thread. Even Germany was disunited before Bismark united it. It was there in CBSE 10th class. Same was done by Gardibaldi on Italy.

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
Nevermind my previous preachy sounding post. There is another common thread. Cricket.
My cybercoolie neighbor keeps discussing it with others. He is a Tamizh and others are Gujjus.

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
Is the supposed Bengali role in freedom struggle confirmed by gutsy behaviour in actual life? If it is so, then the history we are taught is authentic. How do Bengalis fare when there is a clash in US?

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
Here's my 2-paise. India should be be a single country but of sovereign independent states. The moment this is over-ridden (like the hindi-language imposition over the entire country) there is an imbalance created and individual states get threatened. Question to answer is, does one want a single-language speaking, single-food eating, single-style dressing country
![]() ![]() Edit: Note, there is a similarity to the religion of peace here... which wants a uniform world all around.. just one language, one dress, one food everywhere. Just see where that is getting many of the countries ![]()
