KINDLY refrain from and resist the temptation to give - reps (red boxes) to new members who haven't even gotten past few posts.

I keep wondering if your actions are not discouraging some genuine new members from returning back? Please wait for new members to prove the intentions to spam, or post links before handing them negative reps? I have a feeling, we may have lost two potential good members in last few days because of our rush to find them guilty of spamming even before they had a chance to prove their genuineness.

Just a humble request. Rest is up to you cause I am just 6 months old and too new to be making such comments. Please do forgive me.

a question - do u use two computers/laptops or every-time spend an effort to logout/login? or use two browser windows? or two different browsers (like ff/chrome,chrome/ie, ie/ff)?

* When I login to eCharcha - not in the mornings unless there is a burning thread or post I left last night before sleeping, I expect to see lots of threads with interesting discussions, then choose about which one/s to start participating in.
* I expect the threads I am interested to be in the forefront - a customised homepage which shows all the threads I am subscribing to, or just am interested in... if there is nothing here, I can go to the eCharcha homepage. Otherwise someone like akhil khashyup comes over one fine day, goes to all old threads and posts the same question about online trading site on all of them... any threads I was looking at yesterday are 'lost'. I can go into forums to look them up ofcourse, but out of sight, out of mind very much applies. I want to be able to mark certain threads that I am interested in and see them in front everytime I logged in.
* During the day I cant login or keep eCharcha in front of me all the time, but because people in different time zones login at different times, it so happens that some threads suddenly progress too much while I miss people posting their responses. The next time I login in I go through every post, sometimes not... this makes me miss many parts of a discussion. I would expect to get an instant communication about a reply to the thread I am interested in. an SMS? will that be a bit of an overkill? Email? I'd rather just refresh eCharcha page... dont know...
* sometimes I am travelling and I think would like to post on the fly like I can do to twitter... using my phone and WAP/GPRS its painful though... I cant
* There are some people who, I think, post very well. Their arguments are quite intelligent and I would like to follow posts of such people. I want to get to know everytime they post, or if possible everytime they post on interesting threads only not time pass threads like 'So, Whats up?'. This one is probably thorny for the unscruplous ones.

I think I am confusing between threads about what do I expect from eCharcha everytime I login and the thread about how would you like to improve eCharcha... to me it looks like same difference.

We can do that if you stop banning people as soon as they join. Saala, at least give us some time to -ve rep and/or +ve rep... before anything happens you go and ban them. How are we supposed to not rep them then
