That's the thing... the longer and wider they stretch the display more chances of problems. As they say, "SIZE" matters but it also creates huge problems... just check with Tantramahagyani pai

No ... my 12 year old tv still works fine. No dead pixels .. for that matter no pixels at all!!

Piexles are for computers ... CRT's rule for TVs.

Never had a complaint against CRTs, man... they rock... only problem is they have a size limitations

Amazon has this model back in stock... I'm confused... should I ask them to send for a replacement... or do I just wait for better tech

Read up on dead pixels and you will see that some companies do not even include dead pixels under their warranties... a pixel or 2 dead here and there... they say you just live with it. That's what I meant when I said I'll wait for better technology... something that the manufacturer will stand by.

If you want I'll post some of these statements by the companies... but I don't want to scare you that much

Re: High definition TV

i know that most companies require at least 8 dead pixels for them take your tv back...believe me 8 dead ones on a zillion pixels is not what you are mentioning...you cant see them unless you sit close to your tv, really close...

Re: High definition TV

Finally went and bought the Samsung LN52A650... and been watching it the last few evenings... what an absolutely stunning TV. Feels good to have waited this long... for tech to improve. This TV seems to have absolutely no motion blur... excellent clarity... brilliant colors... and looks good when it is off too

Now... all I have to do is... wait and watch. Hope won't have to return this one.

did you get the cinemax penny offer? its 1yr of cinemax for 1 cent. just call up dish or chat with them online and ask for cinemax penny offer. you only need to sign up for paperless statements and autopay.
