Could not frame the post well.... was not in mood to repeat the same things again... so deleted it... anyways I don't think one can compare a small fry like Godse to stalwart Gandhi(not that Gandhi was always right or Godse was all wrong)... Gandhi was more than 55 crore rupees but Godse's sole claim to fame was Gandhi's murder....
I must say Godse comes across a much reasonable than asshole Gopal Godse and others...

I fully concur. Gandhiji was worth more than 55 Crores. And remember, to him, coming from British Raj, both India and Pakistan were a part of India. He fought the fight for both India and Pakistan. Agreed that he did make errors of judgment with regards to The Muslim League which could be the main cause of the partition but one cannot make a claim that it was his sole intention to divide the country.

Apart from the freedom struggle, Gandhiji has got many more reforms socially. Barbaric practices like Sati, child marriages, blind beliefs, womens rights were addressed by him to the masses and many things changed by his inspiration. He had brought the nation together; I wouldnt say single handadly, but he did play a major role in the Indian Independance Movement. And for this we have to respect him, at least I do.

Coming to Godse....when he could not address an issue, he just chose to murder him. He is just seeing Pakistan and 55 crores but he did not think that Gandhi has other sides and contributions made to India. He is a murderer.

So Gandhi managed to steal the credit of discrediting th custom of Sati from Rajaram Mohan Roy is it? Wow this Gandhi guy was a smooth operator indeed!

Womens rights. Man so even Maharshi Karve's efforts are out of the window?? What about Mahatma Phule's contribution in this regard?

Yes indeed Nathuram was a murder, but a respectful one.

So just because a teacher would have taught a girl student right from childhood, he does not reserve a right to sex with her when she reaches puberty.

Sorry for the analogy but Gandhi had no right to rape mother India after independence which was claimed to have been achieved by his so called antics.

Re: Nathuram Godse - villain or hero

LOL.... love the way poll results changed against this aira gaira natthu khaira... thanks for keeping the poll public... I can see at least 2 dupe ids(would say 3 but rahne do ) voting Natthu as Hero...

Let me tell you why Natthu is a hero, because he was a marathi... maybe some people feel bad that Gandhi was a gujju...

Re: Nathuram Godse - villain or hero

Except for Mad people all murders have a reason for killing people. That does not mean the action justifies thier reason. Godse killed a human being and it is wrong, hence is a "Villan"
