Batteries / Pencil Cells
When an equipment running on a set of batteries stops working because the batteries are 'over', we usually replace all of them.
In reality, only some of them may be 'over' while others may not be (i.e. the equipment will stop working even if a single battery is 'over'). Is there simple method to extract maximum use of them and not just throw them away? Permutations & combinations are many depending upon the number of batteries. Hence a simple method will be appreciated.

Re: Batteries / Pencil Cells
you can use a multimeter to check the remaining power in each battery
![]() A simple multimeter like the above should cost you somewhere between Rs.100~Rs.200 and is a good tool for future use.

Re: Batteries / Pencil Cells
better still buy rechargeable batteries, they are may be 3-4 times the cost of regular batteries and last at least 40-50 charges.

Re: Batteries / Pencil Cells
You could use the low power batteries for your vibrator. It may not vibrate very fast, but might be enough to get you off.
