I generally use linux utilities....like a simple dd command which does the job....to utilities like clonezilla....

there are some utilties on windoze too...which are free and do the job.... I used macrium which was good....but produces a file which can be used only through it.....

if u have some idea in mind, write in....will search and let u know which software is the best

No, deleting wasn't my style, though Shree often told me to do it. I used to edit the posts to sound something ulta. Like, if one guy was abusing another (more than acceptable level), I would edit his post to sound as if he was requesting to lick the opponent's backside

Re: How to keep your computer running like new?

More updates on this...

Recently I came re-across this....had forgotten about this site for a long time...its called sysinternals, I am sure many M$-enthus have already heard & worked with it....

Just in case, This is just-in-case for those who haven't heard of it....actually taken over by M$...but their tools are still freely avalbl....so check out the large number of utilties which help in understanding whats happening inside...

These tools are in addition to what I suggested earlier, some aspects in these tools are much more deeper which are helpful in diagonising problems or aid in development on M$-platform

Kuch rasta batao bhai ki every morning sab kuch restore kar de pehle jaisa.. system restore doesn't work well.

बाप रे, कहते है की बात निकली है तो दूर तक जाएगी you forgot to put in the  smiley.

Cybercafe hai yaar mera.. koi critical data nahi hai. Customers keep fingering the files and then I have to re-install everything.. big headache. Installing XP is ok.. 20-30 min job, but some games take a long time and circuitous route. No CD drive attached, so I use nero imagedrive to load .nrg / .iso files and install.

Fees ki baat.. jab milenge so bevda meri taraf se.. bite bhi... aur kya mangta hai?

Re: How to keep your computer running like new?

3 PC hai.. athlon 240,160gb/2gb RAM.. 3 or 4 partitions. Some games installed on this partition, some on D or E .. because some of them take too much space. Now, everyday, I would like to restore the status to yesterday morning's. doesn't matter if any customer files are lost.
And when I install anything new, like a new game or antivirus etc., i want to be able to set a restore point, so that next day (or sometime in future) I can restore things to that point.

yeh installment mein inphormasan kyun deto bhai...?

Now that u have told athlon 240, its clear that there is usb 2.0, but hard dik oops disk mein software ka size kitna nahi bataya....woh kab bataoge....anyways...here is one video which u can see about taking back up...but this is in case u wish to cdrom drive in future...

http://linuxgravity.com/creating-and...with-clonzilla

http://www.mindworkshop.info/windows...-installation/

usb is a better choice...if all the systems have the same configuration and if the compressed image can fit in 4gb (abt 600-800 INR).

anway will give u more detailed information a little later...watch the video
