Re: Navratri / Garba /dandiya songs

he did indeed kill it. the turn of event immediately after the 1-2-3 song or this dandiya music... kept the pace... the place where I lived, Madhuri's skirt in the 1-2-3 song was a big deal, almost similar to her dhak dhak song.

Btw... I do not think "jhakaas" started with this movie. Memory fails me. I believe he started using that word much later...

hard luck, KKKK. not a single one from our gang could help but when we started discussing Navratri? one topic led to another & soon everyone from the group was talking about our wild night outings. omg how we went on fast drives, long drives .. sometimes. watching sunrise & talking about life was divine fun. boys would discuss about their escapades with other women & we would discuss 'em!

p.s. what about you? any luck with the songs? most likely to see a few friends tomorrow for dandiya night. this won't help you with your cd but will make a note of songs i hear or dandiya to, nonetheless :P

You are lucky, you are at least humming it in the thick voice of Aziz. Mera kya... same problem but with the voice of a gadha. The song has already evolved into multiple scenarios and settings... all of them having some picture or form of Mssenjoy tai

it's amazing how one could tell the difference between a thick voice & a patli awaaz? earlier one could discern between two singers ... everyone had their own unique style. these days i feel, one cannot instantly zero in on whose singing until you see the singer's name on the display.

p.s. what gazal, btw? i chanced upon this one recently. a beautiful one by Beghum Akhtar- mere humnafaz mere humnava. have been playing in loop since.

woke up with this ghazal somehow..

Quote:

Lyricist: Sant Darshan Singh (from Beas, Punjab)

Journey
Escape, Evasion
Problem
Beginning
Ending
