About Income Tax Filing.

Does anyone know the answer ?
My wife has not worked during the last year at all. So, when filing for returns, I can claim her on my tax returns. However, can I claim as Head of Household too ? Am in NY State.
Thanks in advance.

Go to H & R Block or consult a CPA. Dont take any advise from non-tax professionals. Also beware of some 'fast' CPAs who will say like -'Oh you can do this and that and you can write off that.."

be careful.

Out here, in the first year of my stay in USA, I actually went to the local IRS office and to my surprise they were quite helpful in answering my questions and even offered to prepare my taxes.

Dont go to H & R block . My friend work for her. How much do they pay her ? $8/hr. I would rather buy turbo tax software. I have been using that for almost 6 years now. IN fact try it our for free at www.turbotax.com
