'remember when' by alan jackson??

copy paste..so that ya can recall..

Remember when I was young and so were you
And time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when
Remember when we vowed the vows
and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when

The following link explains different scales and what styles use them:
http://www.theorylessons.com/flats.html

As you can see, pop music stays at Lydian and Ionian mainly. Country is mainly mixolydian or lydian. Blues is mainly Dorian or Aeolian.

BTW I've heard that Eastern scales (and Raag Bhairav in particular) was a major influence on Marty Friedman's solos on the Megadeth album "Rust in Peace".

A simple explaintaion given to me by one of our warehouse guy !!

Blues are sung when your women runs away !!

Country music is when your women runs away with your truck and sleep with your brother

Depends who you ask and where you ask....

Its stereotying an entire class of music.....my subjective opinion is that country music is the voice of soul expressed in most direct and melodious manner

And as it happens with any genre of music, you have good artists and people who think they are artists...

GNR.. those sites were very cool I got quite a few new things to try out.

Desibaba,

I stopped listening to Englishwa ganna ever since this rap carp came about. And so all my country colletions are either damaged or lost and I have not stepped to a CD store to replenish..

My favorites songs however were.

a) Lucille
b) Coward of the country.
c) Tomb of the unknown
d) She believes in me

All by kenny rogers.

Faith Hill
Martina McBride
Dixie Chicks
Garth Brooks (somewhat)
Rascal Flatts (a lot)
Kenny Chesney(a lot)
Keith Anderson (a lot)...but this guy has knack for nice songs

These are some buggers that are pop music guys masquerading as country music guys

Btw, folks.....check out the Cledus T Judd's video

Paycheck Woman (on Yahoo music video) its a hilarious parody of Gretchen Wilson's song/video Redneck Woman

Cledus T Judd is like Al Jankovic of country music

Nope

and here's the lyrics from the parody of Gretchen Wilson's song Redneck Woman (must listen to her's first if you want to really enjoy the parody)

rtist/Band: Cledus T. Judd
Lyrics for Song: Paycheck Woman
Lyrics for Album: Bipolar & Proud

Well the last thing I need, is a lazy housewife
If your gonna lay around and sleep all day
You better work third shift a night
In a carpet mill or a truck stop
Even if itís for minimum wage
Oh you can get yourself some pasties
And get up there on that stage
Now the Baptist look down on you
But donít listen to their lip
Cause you can dance neked on a big brass poll
As long as youíre making tips

Cause I want a paycheck woman donít want no welfare broad
All the chicks I date are lazy I say hey y-all a job
You better bring home the bacon and fry it up when you get home
You canít sit and watch soap operas while I work hard all day long
So hereís to all my brothers out there pulling down O.T.
Ah let me get a big hell yah, from the working men like me Hell yah (Hell yah)

Employee discounts, well their real nice
I hear the head cashier at Wal-Mart can get fishing lures half price
Ainít that sexy really sexy when a woman saves money
And what really turns me on is a two income family
So even if itís part time bagging groceries at the store
You better get out there and punch that clock
Cause Iím sick of being poor

Cause I want a paycheck woman donít want no welfare broad
All the chicks I date are lazy I say hey y-all a job
You better bring home the bacon and fry it up when you get home
You canít lay there eating Bon Bons while I work hard all week long
So hereís to all the woman who think money grows on trees
Ah let me get a big hell no, from the working mens like me Hell no (Hell no)

I want a paycheck woman donít want no welfare broad
All the chicks I date are lazy I say hey y-all a job
You better bring home the bacon and fry it up when you get home
You canít sit and watch soap operas while I work hard all day long
So hereís to all my brothers out there putting in forty
Ah let me get a big hell yah, from the working men like me Hell yah (Hell yah)
Hell yah (Hell yah) (Hell yah)

First watch/listen to Tracy Lawrence's song on Yahoo music or elsewhere to enjoy the parody below even more

Artist/Band: Cledus T. Judd
Lyrics for Song: Bake Me A Country Ham
Lyrics for Album: Bipolar & Proud

I was sitting there, with my fork in hand
Staring at my lousy ravioli can
As she walked right in and said to me
Is there any way that I can make your day complete
I told her if thereís anyway you can
Could you grease up that old metal roasting pan

And bake me a country ham
Honey glazed with a side of yams
Leave it in till itís golden brown
Pineapples all the way around
Let the sweet smell fill the air
Serve it to me in my underwear
Iím tired of eating imitation Spam
Could you bake me a country ham

I looked at her, with hungry eyes
She asked if I needed ketchup for my curly fries
I held my breath I could hardly wait
For my little slice of heaven on that Dixie plate
I could feel the juices running down my chin
As my stomach started singing once again

Could you bake me a country ham
Honey glazed with a side of yams
Leave it in till itís golden brown
Pineapples all the way around
Let the sweet smell fill the air
Serve it to me in my easy chair
Iím tired of eating imitation Spam
Could you bake me a country ham

Could bake me a country ham
Honey glazed with a side of yams
Leave it in till itís golden brown
Pineapples all the way around
Serve it to me in my underwear
I m tired of eating imitation Spam
Could you bake me a country ham
